Ramos Joins the Black and Yellows
New Target Man for Jurgen Klopp
Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Colombian international Adrian Ramos from Hertha BSC. The 28-year-old striker will join the eight-time German champions on 1 July.
Ramos is a proven goalscorer, having netted 16 goals in 33 appearances for Hertha BSC last season. He has also scored 11 goals in 30 appearances for the Colombian national team.
Ramos began his pre-season training with Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
On 29 August Ramos scored his first league goal for Borussia Dortmund against FC Augsburg resulting in a 3-2 win Dortmund's first of the Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is delighted with the signing of Ramos.
"He is a very good player," said Klopp. "He is a strong, physical player who can score goals. He will be a valuable addition to our squad." Ramos is looking forward to the challenge of playing for Borussia Dortmund. "I am very happy to be here," said Ramos. "Borussia Dortmund is a big club with a great history. I am looking forward to playing for this club and helping them to win trophies."
